Though many of the film and TV productions that shoot in Montana do so because they tell local stories, others come for the sweeping Great Plains vistas that have earned the state its ‘Big Sky Country’ nickname. Over the past 18 months, projects shooting in the state have included Loving, The Promise, Big Stone Gap, Imperium, Ithaca, Coming Through The Rye, TV series Mercy Street and Turn and commercials for Geico, Pizza Hut and Walmart.
